Abstract

Herein, reviewing suspender style of steel truss arch bridge, analyzing Reynolds number, Strouhal number, structure vibration factor lambda-l of suspender and the influencing degree of suspender's dynamics characteristic to the suspender vibration, under the engineering background of wind-induced vibration on suspender of one steel truss arch bridge. Also bringing forward the identifying method of suspender vortex-induced resonance relative with factor lambda-l and Reynolds number; and the conclusion from the method is consistent with the fact bridge vortex-induced resonance phenomena. The presenting method can identify the wind-induced vibration on suspender of steel truss arch bridge.
