Abstract

The buried corroded cast iron gas pipeline is more likely to be damaged by engineering blasting vibration. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the dynamic response and realize the safety control of the buried corroded gas pipelines under the action of blasting vibration for the safety of engineering construction. Based on the field experiment of the blasting vibration of the buried cast iron gas pipeline, combined with the corrosion characteristics of the buried pipeline in the clay soil, the numerical calculation software ANSYS/LS-DYNA is used to establish the blasting vibration calculation model of the pipeline with different corrosion degree. The blasting vibration characteristics and stress characteristics of the corroded pipeline are analyzed and the failure mode of the corroded gas pipeline under blasting vibration is studied. The results show that the corrosion reduces the anti-vibration characteristic of the pipeline, and the peak particle velocity and effective stress of the pipeline will increase with the increase of the corrosion depth and the operating pressure. When the operating pressure and corrosion depth increase beyond a certain value, the pipeline will be torn along the center of the corrosion defect. The peak effective stress, vibration velocity, corrosion depth and operating pressure have a mathematical-statistical relationship. © 2021 Elsevier
