Abstract

The emergency plan is a project drawn up in advance for prevention against the possible important accidents, assuring the rapid and effective emergency response and rescue actions, and reducing the accidents loss. In order to reduce accident damage, the Chinese government has taken many measures to improve its ability for major accident prevention and emergency management In this paper, we introduce the basic emergency measures for major accidents and its future developments. The basic situations of work safety in China are analysed in Section 2. The construction of an emergency system for major accidents is presented in Section 3. The core elements of the emergency plan in China are introduced in Section 4, and the main regulations for emergency system construction are introduced in Section 5. The current research status of emergency systems in China is introduced in Section 6. Finally, the future developments of the emergency system against major industrial accidents are discussed.
