Abstract

The modern avalanche forecasting and safety factors, and the development perspectives of an avalauncher that has proved to be efficient in avalanche mitigation work are discussed. Monty Atwater, the specialist of modern avalanche forecasting and safety in the United States made a demonstration of an avalauncher by considering the product literature of a pneumatic baseball pitching machine. Atwater and Parsoneault's sales strategy was to sell the guns at their cost and then make their merger profits off the projectiles. Some of the accidents during the demonstration caused the further development of the flight safety system and the use of solid magnets and base planets. The need of the explosive arises inside the mines, where transfer tunnels are bored between mining floors to transport ore. The Bermite Corporation's introduced the rocket assisted military projectile (RAMP) system in addition to the avalauncher to find a replacement for artillery in the U.S. Forest Service.
