Abstract

This paper, based on the data about product-related injury collected in 2012, builds the " FRS analysis paradigm" for risk assessment on product-related injury where the warning indexes are calculated by means of weighted average. In terms of product categories, the transportation equipment, furniture and household daily necessities are those that feature relatively high risk of product-related injury. In terms of product subcategories, the large and medium-sized passenger cars, cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, mopeds and their components fall into the ones that are characterized by relatively high risk of product-related injury. Measures relative to risk control of product-related injury, including in-depth analysis of product defects, risk warning and early warning, recall of defective products and policy-making for product safety, will be adjusted in line with the assessment results.
