Abstract

The data obtained with the 6 kN limiter restraint in real-world collisions are discussed. A new system is given and its performance in offset crash situation with respect to a European standard belt-plus-air bag system is described. The data on the validation of the programmed restraint system (PRS) II in various frontal collisions and static out-of-position tests are provided.
