Abstract

We read with interest the viewpoint by Ghoorani, Galvin and Jimenez-Shahed on the "clinically actionable information" of wearable systems for at-home monitoring of motor complications in Parkinson's disease. The authors correctly highlighted as challenges the limited adoption of such devices in clinical practice and the inadequacy of existing algorithms. Thus, they call for action in revising algorithms "to generate data that can be interpreted more reliably in the context of widely accepted and understood clinical measures"...
