Abstract

Changes always occur in chemical plants. Raw materials, operating conditions, and operating methods may also change. Production capacity and production items should change according to customer requests. Not only changes in materials and equipment, but also people and organizations. This change or change can sometimes be a source of danger. To prevent accidents, it is also necessary to manage this potential hazard of "change" and "change." In this series, we have introduced management lessons from the management perspectives of chemical plants, starting with design, safety evaluation, operation management, equipment maintenance / construction management, and education and training. This time, I would like to introduce the lessons learned from past accident cases from the perspective of change management in the petroleum and chemical industries. [Google Translate]
