Abstract

Safety-II and its methodology, resilience engineering, have been proposed by Dr. Erik Hollnagel, an international authority on human factors.
DISCUSSIONs continue on the details, but to put it simply, it can be said that safety is ensured and improved by flexibly responding to the situation, which means the field power. A companion to Safety-II is human error prevention, which Hollnagel positions as Safety-I.
