Abstract

Driving vehicles for transportation of people and/or goods is a high responsibility job, that exposes to several occupational risks (psychophysical tiring; health damages by weight lifting, noise, vibrations and shakings; toxic and irritative effects by atmospheric pollutants). The Italian legislation defines the minimal psychophysical requirements for the driving licence, that is indispensable to be employed. The occupational physician should then provide the sanitary surveillance and cooperate to training and education.
