Abstract

We report on the accidental ingestion of magnetic toys in a toddler who suffered from multiple perforations of the small bowel. If magnetic toys are localized in the upper gastrointestinal tract or in the colon, they should be removed endoscopically without delay. If the toys are localized within the small bowel, surgical extraction should be taken into consideration.
