Abstract

Gallaher et al. have undertaken some very interesting work in their recent publication (“The Malawi trauma score: A model for predicting trauma-associated mortality in a resource-poor setting” (Injury. 2019)) [1]. The authors suggest that the Malawi Trauma Score could be utilised “as a foundation for rapid triage tools at regional and tertiary trauma centers throughout the region and allow for risk-stratification of our patient populations.”
