Abstract

The evaluation of personal protective equipment is a very demanding task for designing an effective workplace safety program. There is variable equipment to prevent job accidents, to protect workers' health and safety and to minimize the damage of any possible accident. Comparing the alternatives for most favourable equipment such as possible high noise levels is one of the most difficult issues to deal with. In this study, the Analytical Hierarchy Process method allows selecting personal protective analytically, which was used to decide on the efficient personal protection equipment for choosing protective shoes, helmets, headphones, and dust masks.
