Abstract

Highlights

The paper identified self-harm clusters in Kwai Tsing, and described the differences in self-harm characteristics.

Self-poisoning was the most common self-harm approach within and outside the high-risk clusters.

The high-risk clusters were explained by the concentration of deprivation, lower education, and lower economic status.

Education was found to be one of the major factors in self-harm, the median proportion of no schooling or only primary education in pure spatial and space-time clusters was higher than the overall median proportion.
