Abstract

Chineese motorized bicycles were first launched onto the market in the late 1990s.As of 2016, the country has become one of the largest markets in the world for motorized bicycles, and with an annual unit sales topping 20 million, the market continues to grow at a brisk pace. Based on extensive studies locally conducted in China, this report explores how this huge market formed and how it can be expected to develop in the future.
