Abstract

For the purpose of suicide, a man sometimes pours kerosene or gasoline on himself and fires it. In this case in order to clarity the fact that a man killed himself by using kerosene or gasoline, the chemical characteristic of the fuel should be examined from some parts of the burned body. Recently a female burned body was performed autopsy to examine her cause of death and a means of her death as well as to aid in her identification. In this paper the gas chromatographic determination of some saturated hydrocarbons from her hypopharyngeal contents smelling of kerosene were attempted to estimate the means of her death from burns.
