Abstract

OBJECTIVE The object of the study was to understand the epidemic feature of exposure to violence among stu-dents in a medical college in Zhuzhou city,as to provide evidence for violence prevention and intervention.

METHODS An anonymous questionnaire with stratified and cluster random sampling was conducted in a medical college in Zhuzhou to investigate the exposure to violence among college students a year ahead. Epidemiological analysis of the results was conducted.

RESULTS A total of 1 780 questionnaires were issued with 1 620 questionnaires returned. The response rate was 91.01%. 249 students were exposed to the violence last year(15.37%). 10.68%(173/1 620) students suffered spirit violence. 7.96%(129/1 620) students suffered physical violence. 2.65%(43/1 620) students suffered sexual violence. Violent-suffered-place was mainly on campus from peer students. The main cause of violence was irritation. The damage was mainly psychological harm. Majority of the students expressed the violence to classmates. 39.80%(99/249) student victims imposed violence on others.

CONCLUSIONS The violence encountered rate among students in a medical college in Zhuzhou was high enough to take necessary prevention and intervention.

目的了解株洲市某医学院校学生暴力遭遇的现状及流行特征,为暴力预防和干预提供依据。方法对株洲市某医学院校学生在过去1年的暴力遭遇及其相关情况进行调查,然后对调查结果进行流行病学分析。结果该调查共发放问卷1 780份,回收有效问卷1 620份,有效应答率为91.01%。过去1年的暴力遭遇发生人数249人,发生率为15.37%;其中精神暴力发生率为10.68%(173/1 620);躯体暴力遭遇发生率为7.96%(129/1 620);性暴力遭遇发生率为2.65%(43/1 620)。暴力遭遇的发生场所主要在校园内,来源主要为同学、校友,原因主要为惹怒对方,伤害后果主要是心理伤害,暴力遭遇后的大部分学生会告诉同学。在发生暴力遭遇大学生中有39.80%(99/249)的学生在过去1年对他人施加过暴力。结论医学院校学生暴力遭遇发生率较高,因此须采取措施进行有效预防和干预。
