Abstract

A coalition of health groups has condemned the Syrian government for turning doctors into “targets.”

Speaking on behalf of a group of non-governmental organisations at a press conference in Turkey, Mohamad Katoub, of the Syrian American Medical Society, condemned the Syrian and Russian governments’ attacks on eastern Aleppo and the failure of the international community to intervene.

He said, “We condemn the Syrian government for waging a war against its people, for turning medics into targets, and for denying humanitarian aid to besieged populations.” …
