Abstract

Selective serotonin and serotonin-norepinephrine (noradrenaline) reuptake inhibitors double the risk of suicide and violence in healthy adults with no signs of a mental disorder, a systematic review has found.

The review, published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, is the first to analyse trials of these antidepressants in healthy adults.
