Abstract

Die Schweizerische Beratungsstelle fuer Unfallverhuetung bfu fuehrt seit 1962 jaehrlich Erhebungen der Gurten- und Helmtragquoten durch. Im ersten Zaehljahr wurden ausschliesslich die Lenker und Lenkerinnen von Personenwagen erfasst. Das Zaehlprogramm wurde seither kontinuierlich erweitert, sodass heute ausserdem die Gurttragquote auf den Ruecksitzen von Personenwagen sowie die Helmtragquoten auf Motorraedern, Motorfahrraedern und Fahrraedern erhoben werden. Ueber den bisherigen Verlauf und den aktuellen Stand der Tragquoten wird berichtet. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: Since 1962, the Swiss Council for Accident Prevention bfu has conducted an annual survey of seat belt and helmet wearing rates. During the first year in which statistics were collected, the survey focussed solely on car drivers. Since then, the scope of statistics has been continuously expanded to include seat belt wearing rates for back-seat passengers in cars as well as helmet wearing rates for motorcyclists, moped riders and cyclists. Information is provided on the progress of the survey as well as on the status quo of current wearing rates.
