Abstract

Pol Pot has been justifiably condemned in the West. Consequently, public pressure has forced Western leaders to pursue morally correct policies in Cambodia and not deal directly with the Khmer Rouge. This prolonged the Cambodian agony. Paradoxically, therefore, morally correct policies have had immoral consequences in Cambodia.
