Abstract

China, a densely populated country is faced with over a million cases of traumatic brain injury (TBI) annually. From the late 30's of the 20th century, there has been a great improvement in the field of neurosurgery in the treatment of neurotrauma. Our aim in this article is to delve into the genesis of neurotrauma and its present situation to fellow neurosurgeons in order to enhance academic exchange and interaction between China and other parts of the world.
