Abstract

The study found the Vocational Exploration Group to be an effective aid in increasing the career maturity of economically deprived 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade Black students. The Career Maturity Inventory (CMI), which was administered to all participants before and after the treatment period, indicated significant positive movement on 2 of the 6 CMI scales while scores for the control group remained constant.
