Abstract

Project 12-Ways is an ecobehavioral approach to the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. This approach focuses on the multifaceted environmental factors that contribute to this serious problem. Described here are the 15 services provided by Project 12-Ways in an effort to treat and prevent child abuse and neglect in southern Illinois. Data are presented on the amount and kinds of services provided in the first-year of the Project's operation. Also, presented are broad-scale program evaluation data for that first year.The implications of these results are discussed.
