Abstract

Millions of refugees trying to escape destabilised countries are often described in the public as a threat or at least a challenge for integration, which distracts attention from the reasons why these populations leave their homes and occupations in the first place. Help in host countries focuses mainly on primary medical, psychosocial, and economic crisis interventions.
