Abstract

The article discusses the differences between protective orders and bond conditions in relation to the protection of victims of domestic violence as of July 2013, focusing on the courts in Texas and the statutory framework of protective orders in that state. Temporary and final protective orders in Texas are examined, along with human trafficking victims and Section 20A.02 of the Texas Penal Code. A Magistrate's Order for Emergency Protection is mentioned, along with criminal enforcement.
