Abstract

This article reports the results of a rear crash test of a 2004 Ford E-350 National Type II Ambulance. In the crash test, the rear of the ambulance is impacted by a rolling cart at 50 km/hr to determine patient compartment response. The results are intended to evaluate future patient compartment interior design and equipment monitoring integrity.
