Abstract

A while ago I was involved in setting up a dedicated liaison team to work across child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and our local children's ward, which received all the young people who had self-harmed or attempted suicide. It was not the nurse's main job, of course, it is a busy paediatric ward in a large general hospital, so it deals with a lot of sick babies, children and young people.
