Abstract

Based on analysis of the fundamental dimensionless equations, it was shown that the mass combustion rate of liquid fuels is directly proportional to the oxygen concentration in a fire compartment, and to the gas pressure to the two-thirds power. Corresponding formulas for estimating the mass combustion rates of typical carbon liquid fuels were received. These formulas were checked and confirmed by the tests conducted in different research institutions.
