Abstract

Actual conditions of traffic accidents involving children under school age are described on the basis of literature. Analysis is made of the causes of these accidents from the viewpoint of children's psychological and behavioral traits such as accident proneness, "tunnel visual field", psychological scar, age, sex, and personality. Finally, examination is made on traffic safety education to be given to small children.
