Abstract

The selection of tinted ophthalmic lenses is discussed in terms of some of the factors which may not always be considered when deciding upon a particular tinted lens. The factors considered for the various tinted lenses available include the transmittance properties in the non-visible regions of the spectrum and the effects of tinted lenses on the performance of drivers of motor vehicles.
