Abstract

Based on tape-recorded interviews with 11 rape victims, the victims' reports of rape, rape sequelae, and disruptions of the social system were analyzed. Victims who articulated their feelings were able to cope with fears, interact with others, and return to normal routines faster than those who did not discuss their feelings.
