Abstract

The author uses the case of a culpable homicide, committed under the influence of alcohol, to compare - applying the methods of historical criminology and criminal psychology - the act and offender with the results of other criminological studies. Furthermore the author critically analyses whether the course of prosecution is consistent with the demands of a speedy and safe prosecution and appropriate and effective sentence. Attention is drawn to various errors.
