Abstract

A full analysis of random double blood samples taken in 2002 (n = 434) revealed only three cases with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 0. 1 (per mille). From an expert point of view all double blood samples were not actually required for assessing post-offence drinking claims. One regular blood sample is sufficient to perform a congener analysis.
