Abstract

During the rectilinear elimination phase the BACven/BrAC conversion factor Q, shown as the hyperbola Q = 1/K+(KT)/BrAC, is indirectly proportional to the BrAC. For a comparison that is not dependent on concentration prior knowledge of independent values K or 1/K and (KT) is necessary. These result from the linear relationship of BrAC = K BACven - K (KT). Otherwise the comparison of Q values is only useful when the concentration of the reference is provided or when Q is shown as QBrAC.
