Abstract

For comparative interpretation of alcohol-concentrations in blood, cerebrospinal fluid, vitreous humor, synovial fluid and urine, the water content of each fluid must be considered. The alcohol concentrations determined in relation to the water content of the body fluid examined showed that in the absence of any obvious cause of death in cases of high blood alcohol concentrations, death occurred in the absorptive phase.
