Abstract

In order to establish the frequency of bone fractures in 2 population groups with increased and decreased fluor exposition, respectively, the case histories of a surgical ward for men were evaluated. Of 10 age groups ten times a lower percental frequency of fractures in combination with an increased presence of fluor was found. Fluorides have got an increasing significance for the prophylaxis of fractures in the treatment of osteoporosis.
