Abstract

The establishment of the truth in a criminal court is very much influenced by findings within the fields of other sciences, which, in turn requires lawyers to become active in an interdisciplinary way. Ones own knowledge often reaches its limits and knowledge can then only be transmitted by a third party. The responsibility of the lawyer involved in legal proceedings lies not only in following minimum standards both in contents and formality but also in ensuring that quality standards are analysed and kept to in a critical way.
