Abstract

In non-technical language, the author describes a methodology used with frequent success; it turns the offenders' own personal defensive strategies into weapons the investigator can use against perpetrators. As Mr. Howell puts it, "The job of the interviewer is to let the sex offender use all five strategies, and, in fact, lead him to do so."
