Abstract

Note: This publication evaluated Across Ages, a comprehensive, intergenerational mentoring program designed to prevent/reduce teen drug abuse and to help older adults (55+) stay active in their communities.
Results suggest that Across Ages participants showed significant improvement in their sense of well-being, knowledge about elders, reactions to drug use situations, attitudes toward community service, and attitudes toward school, the future, and elders.

For more information on Across Ages, a Safe Communities ~ Safe Schools Favorable Program, see VioPro record number 2907.
