Abstract

The present investigation explores the current state of organizational violation, and examines its relation with both corporate climate and individual trait differences. Four hundred and ninety-two corporate employees responded to our survey. About 10% of the respondents admitted their corporate climate to be permissive of cover-up of violation, and 10% reported experiencing their involvement with organizational violation. The mood of covering-up was prevalent among giant corporate and governmental agencies. Employees to these organizations showed high sense of resistance to organizational violation at the same time. Significance of age and experience of job change was discussed in terms of their relation to attitude to violation.
