Abstract

Women are accorded less recognition than men in the professions and in public life. Furthermore, women do not hold administrative and honorific positions in the American Psychological Association "in proportion to their numbers and qualifications" and especially do they fail of election to "top-level" offices, being frequently chosen for the more laborious job of secretary.
