Abstract

After a psychological test has been developed and standardized, it is usually put on the market to be distributed for general use. Since the validity of a test depends in large part upon the skill with which it is administered, the problem of restricting the use of tests to properly qualified persons confronts the psychologist who is interested in the efficient application of his science. In this article, Science Research Associates, the World Book Company, and the Psychological Corporation--three distributors of tests--describe their policies in checking the qualifications of purchasers of tests.
