Abstract

Taking the shallow hydraulic tunnel under the Qinhuangdao Qin-Fu expressway as the background, based on the limit equilibrium theory and the design standard of the hydraulic tunnel structure, in accordance with the coupling interaction characteristics between the tunnel structure and its surrounding rock, the reliability analysis model of the tunnel structure stability has been built and key mechanics parts of the tunnel structure have been determined. Through calculating each variation parameters mean and standard deviations of the tunnel structure and its surrounding rock, the stability reliability index formula for the tunnel structure under the Qin-Fu Expressway has been derived, and the minimum reliability index of the tunnel structure is 1.197. Assuming that the random variable influencing tunnel structure stability obeys the normal distribution, considering other factors like vehicle load and water pressure, the hydraulic tunnel structure reliability is more than 88.5 % by calculation, but less than 90 % demanded by permanent works. After being taken the reinforcement measures for the tunnel structure and its surrounding rock by grouting in advance based on the above results, the shallow hydraulic tunnel project is operating well in the fine conditions now.
