Abstract

There are a lot of landslides and debris flows developed in the Wenchuan earthquake region before the earthquake because of the wavy terrain, complex geological environment and rich rainfall. The Wenchuan earthquake triggered numerous landslides and debris flows. After the earthquake, not only landslides and debris flows become more active, but also the distribution of them has some new characteristics. Based on the distributions of landslides and debris flows before and after the earthquake, the characteristics of the distributions are analyzed and the quantitative regularity of their distribution after the earthquake is described.
