Abstract

This article summarizes some of the new developments in crime prevention/community safety that have taken place in Germany in the last few decades. It highlights the steps towards cross-governmental cooperation in this area and the increasing attempts to incorporate the broader population in crime prevention activities. Alongside these developments has been the growth in the voluntary sector's involvement.
