Abstract

Although determination of the proper fatigue allowance is of interest, job design is more important so fatigue effects are reduced. Avoid paced work. Night work and repetitive work--especially for socially isolated workers--seems to cause fatigue. Short breaks often seems better than long breaks occasionally. Passive rest is not as good as working and active rest.
