The problems of applying ergonomics principles in industry are considered in this paper. Five points are discussed: A model to facilitate a systems analysis of egronomics changes. The selection and measurement of important human behaviors. The need for adapting a wider human context including measures of job satisfaction. Economic evaluation of change. Analytic methods appropriate to industrial situations.
