Abstract

Described in this paper is the use off Cognitive Behavior techniques with battered women. Through reeducation, women are taught to identify, analyze, and change distorted beliefs that impact upon the way they feel and respond to abuse. Through this process, battered women are empowered to respond to life situations in a more self-enhancing manner.
