Abstract

This work reviews solutions for the maximum configuration factor between a cylindrical body representing a fire flame and a differential area element. A solution expressed in terms of the configuration factors between the cylinder and three orthogonal differential areas is compared quantitatively with other expressions obtained in the literature.
